“If you are always trying to be normal, you’ll never know how amazing you can be.”

About Me
I grew up in Maryland and lived in Boston, MA and Boulder, CO before moving to Annapolis, MD in 2000. I’ve been fortunate to embrace my passion for travel and have been to over 14 countries. I’ve loved learning about different cultures through a hospital internship in London, living at a yoga ashram in PA, and staying with a host family in Ecuador. I treasure hearing about other’s lives and meeting my clients and students with an open mind and heart. In 2000, I taught Mom & Baby, prenatal, and restorative yoga. When I returned to social work in 2007, I use a holistic and somatic approach with my clients. My passion is helping others access the innate wisdom in their body and their Inner Self. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, movement such as yoga, dance and walking and hanging out with my 2 cats and dog.
Values & Approach
I’m a trauma informed, holistic, somatic and culturally competent therapist. I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C) since 1997, a Holistic Health Educator, Yoga Teacher and Sound Healer for many years. I value creating a warm, nonjudgmental space for clients. I use humor, as well as creative visualizations, somatic awareness, holistic modalities and more in my practice. I believe in justice and equality and my practice is LGBTIA+, kink, non-monogamous and non-heteronormative affirming. I’m Kink, ENM and Polyamory affirming and aware. I strive to be a warm collaborative partner, helping you on your journey to heal, access your inner wisdom and your connection to your body, as well as gaining awareness of the parts of yourself that need compassion and curiosity, in order to change unhealthy patterns and cope with life transitions, anxiety and grief.
I’m a good fit for: Clients who are interested in learning in using holistic and somatic tools to heal. Clients who are ready to change stuck patterns and find a way back home to their inner self and their body.
I’m not a good fit for: Clients who want a quick fix or solution, as well as clients who want more traditional top down approaches to therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
