What We Offer

Therapy

Trauma Informed Somatic and Holistic counseling blends talk therapy with bottom up approaches, such as: Polyvagal theory, Somatic parts work, Heart Centered Hypnotherapy and Energy awareness. Individual and couples counseling offered. You’ll leave each session with a practice to help you on the path to reclaiming your whole self, in body, mind and spirit. For couples therapy, Ruth uses her Imago Relationship therapy training, to help couples learn healthy communication patterns, work through stuck points and create safety and attunement in their relationships. In person preferred. Telehealth offered. Aura cleansing, and assessment of aura and chakras and somatic movement and yoga offered in each session.

Clinical Social Work Supervision

Maryland Board of Social Work certified clinical Supervision for Licensed Masters Social Workers. Supervision includes case reviews, discussion of clinical concerns and ethics, support to grow as a new social worker, and help preparing for the licensure exam.

 
 

Somatic Movement/Sound Healing:

Please join us to release tension and stress and gain a sense of calm and connection in your body. Workshops include: gentle somatic movement and yoga, breathing, guided meditation, aromatherapy, chakra awareness and sound healing.

 

About Ruth

Ruth Milsten (Pronouns: she, her, hers), MSW, LCSW-C, RYT-300, Masters Level Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Supervisor through the Maryland Board of Social Work, Holistic Health Educator, Certified Yoga Teacher and Sound Healer. She has over 24 years of experience working with clients and teaching yoga.

Ruth is passionate about working in partnership with clients to help them develop mind/ body/spirit connections. She is committed to affirming identities for all folks. Ruth honors each client as a unique individual who is the expert of their own journey of self-discovery, healing and growth.
